Discord integration
Post Gurdx alerts to a Discord channel with a channel webhook.
What you need#
- The Manage Webhooks permission on the Discord server and channel.
- A Gurdx account with the Settings and integrations permission.
Step 1: create a Discord webhook#
- In Discord, open the channel settings for the channel that should receive alerts.
- Go to Integrations, then Webhooks, then New Webhook.
- Name it, for example "Gurdx", and choose the channel.
- Copy the webhook URL. It looks like
https://discord.com/api/webhooks/123/abc.
Step 2: add it in Gurdx#
- In
https://gurdx.cretip.com/app, open Settings, then Integrations, and add an integration of type Discord. - Paste the webhook URL.
- Select the event types and a minimum risk score.
- Save and enable it.
What Discord receives#
Gurdx posts the alert as the message content:
🛡️ Gurdx — Invalid IBAN (My Shop)
Risk: 100/100
Subject: DE00123456789012345678
Time: 2026-10-06 12:14:22
You can check the webhook independently of Gurdx:
curl -X POST "<DISCORD_WEBHOOK_URL>" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"content":"Gurdx test"}'
Tips#
- Create a private channel for alerts. The message includes IPs, emails and your user identifiers, so limit who can read it.
- Use two integrations with different minimum risk scores to separate a quiet review channel from an urgent one.
- Do not post the webhook URL anywhere public. Anyone holding it can write to the channel. Delete and recreate it if it leaks.
Troubleshooting#
- 404 or
Unknown Webhook: the webhook was deleted. Create a new one and update the integration. - Nothing arrives: check that the integration is enabled, the event type is selected and the event's risk score reaches your minimum. Test-mode requests never create events.
- Rate-limited by Discord: lower the volume with a higher minimum score. Failed sends are retried up to 3 times, one minute apart.
For structured data and automation, use a signed webhook. Back to Integrations overview.
